About Atencio / Contact

I am a third-generation teacher and graduate of Jordan School District. I am a Jordan District graduate, as is my father and both sisters; my grandmother also taught elementary school in Jordan District. I have taught Band, Orchestra, Percussion, Mathematics, and AP Music Theory at the high school level since 2019.

I believe that Jordan District should lead the way in its efforts for students, and I want to represent the Daybreak/Herriman/South Jordan/Copperton/West Jordan interests on the Jordan School Board.

My priorities: Supporting students, engaging families, and empowering educators.

I am committed to listening to you. Please tell me about issues that matter to you. atencioforjordan@gmail.com

Supporting Students

All students deserve a complete, high-quality education.

All citizens benefit from a well-educated population.

On the Jordan District School Board, I will work to assure this is true for all students.

Engaging Families

A student is educated by an entire community.

I want to collect input from all parties invested in the education of our children.

I represent your voice on the Jordan District School Board.

Empowering Educators

Teachers are professional experts and must be supported and compensated appropriately.

Paraeducators and Education Support Professionals are likewise crucial to our schools' operations.

Jordan District needs to be at the forefront, attracting and keeping the best educators around for our students.
